About
Built by a speaker who needed it.
Speaker Radar exists because the booking side of a speaking business is a spreadsheet, four Word files, and a memory of what you applied to last year.
He built it because his own bookings were a mess
Jeff Arnold speaks to HR and legal audiences and runs 4Spot Consulting, an automation firm. The speaking side of his own business ran the way it runs for most people: a bio in four versions across four documents, a headshot somewhere in Dropbox, a one-sheet somebody designed in 2023, and a list of conferences he meant to apply to and did not.
The problem was never ambition. Every application asks for the same twelve things in a slightly different order, and finding the applications at all takes a weekend. So he built the thing that fixes it, and then kept using it, which is the only reason to trust that it works.
It owns three things, and does them properly
Finding gigs, applying to gigs, and tracking gigs. That is the whole product, and the narrowness is the point: the stage belongs to you and whoever trains you, and a booking tool that wandered into coaching would be worse at both jobs. Everything here goes into the three that are ours.
Nothing goes out under your name unless you send it
The first two are written into the code, not into a settings screen you have to find. The third is how the drafting works.
You send your own email
Concierge writes the pitch and hands it to you. You paste it into your own mail, change what you want, and press send yourself. Every word an organizer reads is a word you chose.
You submit your own applications
Speaker Radar assembles the answers and you paste them into the form. That one extra step is the reason nothing embarrassing ever reaches an event in your name.
You have full control of your voice
Every draft is built from words you already wrote: your bios, your talks, your answer bank. Nothing is invented to fill a box, anything drafted for you is marked until you confirm it, and you can rewrite any of it. It sounds like you because it came from you.
Tell him what is wrong with it
Every signed-in page carries a Feedback control in the header, and it goes to Jeff. He runs his own bookings on this, so a thing that annoys you probably annoys him too.
